Reflection on 6-1-11

Yesterday was the kick-off from my hometown of Clinton SC. The city sent me off with a bang! It was so exciting. Thank you to my family and wonderful friends. I made some mistakes yesterday and I blame  “myself”. 1st, I only got 3.5 hours of sleep before the big day and the most important thing was that I did not eat until I started walking. This is a big no-no. Yesterday, the temperature reached 100 degrees and it was the 1st day I ever experienced temperatures that hot. Because of all the preparation and training I made it through. It was challenging but I made it. It got so hot that I thought my legs were going to buckle. It really scared me. I ran out of water during the last leg for the day. I thank God for both his mercy and grace. We will get started around 6 am. John, the photographer is still sleep. I will let him sleep a little while longer. I forgot to charge my camera last night so I will post photos later. Hopefully tonight we will stay in a homeless shelter. Mt friend Kim should be finished with her journey “peacewalkerkim.com”

Call me up because I would love to hear from you. 864.449.6197

Rest and proper nutrition will be key in this challenging endeavor…..eat right and get your rest and that’ll be a huge benefit for you, also stay hydrated!!!!! This heat is no joke LP. You’re amazing and doing something that you and I will remember for the rest of our lives!!! What an experience to be able to share with others after it’s all over!!!
